After breakfast I went down to Kirkcaldie + Stains to visit their cutter + get married [sic - measured?] for my new suit (the one I'm to be married in) + purchased my trousseau. After dinner in town went up to "Fern Hill", was graciously received

by Grandma + spent a very pleasant half hour. Rejoined Maud + Mrs. Herd at the "P.P." [Peoples Palace] + accompanied them down town. Visited C. Smith Ltd + purchased lino carpet + mats for our own future home. Then Stewart Dawson's + Uncle Will for 'bride's + bridemaids' presents + ring. In evening Mr. Dick Herd met us + walked as far as the Kings Theatre - went to this picture show + had a good time.
