Sun. Nov. 28.
A lovely day. After breakfast Maud + I left Mrs. Herd to rest + trammed up to Newtown Park to visit the zoo. Had a good time with the animals - took (1) a 1/4 pl[ate] photo of Maud + the swans, one (2) of the swans feeding + (3) she took one of me looking at the aquarium. Then we went for a walk up some of the more

secluded paths to look at each other, + after visiting the sea-lions, returned to our hotel. Re-joined Mrs. Herd + went up to Grandma Denton's for dinner. Walked up th "hill" with Aunt Edie + then Mother, Maud + I pushed off to visit Mrs. Richards, but fortunately found her out. Mrs. Herd, Maud + I then went over to Ellis St[reet] to visit Mr + Mrs. Tom Herd + stayed to tea + had a very pleasant time - was introduced to Miss Dixon + Mrs + Miss Jones. Attended Wesley Church in the evening - Rev. Chapman preached - after service Auntie Ralph invited us to tea on Tuesday evening. Maud + I took Mrs. Herd back to the hotel + then went for a walk round Oriental Bay, + had a lovely time - walked on to one of the jetties, told each other nice things, + sat on a boat in the boat harbour for a little while. My sweet darling!
