Sowed the burned patches on Foxtail + upper part Skyline Spurs with grass seed - also pig-rootings on Ohau Summit + east bdy [boundary] fence line from same to edge "2nd burn". Carried out 58 battens left over from last year for this years bdy. fence (east). Returned to whare via Ohau Flat shepherding. Saw my first lamb of this season, a fortnight earlier than expected. Ewes looking A1. Found another dead steer on Ohau Flat (blue headed white of £ 3.7.0 lot), no apparent cause of death. Found rails at end west bdy. fence on Ohau Flat smashed + steers out on Kay's. Repaired the break. Later in afternoon took tools up to 100 ac[re] p[addock] fence + recommenced this work. Cleared line, benched + put in corner post north of Main Spur gateway. Brilliant moonlit night.
