Father, Andy + I rode up to South Block + mustered the 41 £6.7.6 bullocks - drafted out 19 of the worst + brought them home. I left Andy + Father at the pipe-bridge + rode up to North Block to camp. Sowed grass seed on bare patches along east boundary fence-line from

top of Trunk Spur to NE corner of block. Shepherded '1st burn" + found a fine red steer dead (one of the £4.9.0 lot + one of my best), he had slipped into a gully + got under a log. Moved 16 steers off Leighton p[addock] on to Mill p. making 27 there. There is good feed on Mill p. but the rest of block is bare though not so bad as last year. Ewes splendid.
