A more orderly + neat place I've never seen + the furniture was wonderful being made by lovely grained woods. On leaving we again walked thro' town, picked up a couple of mementoes of the occasion - a wee brown jug + an inlaid puzzle box, + returned home to tea. In evening Beloved + I sallied forth to go to the Pictures in Kings Theatre - good

programme especially the trick cartoons by Dudley Buxton which were most amusing. Returned home most happily. Softie with a light little grip on my arm, + talked in drawing-room till quite late.
