Len + I rode up to North Block to camp. Up to "1st burn" (saw 19 steers in Leighton p[addock]) + worked at east bdy [boundary] fence putting in rest of posts + straining the barb wires right thro'. Cut + split 24 miro battens. In evening sewed up 20 strips of cretonne + stuffed with two sacks of hay to form a mattress for my bed. Slept much more comfortably.
