Drafted out 22 of the best of Father's 31 £6.7.6 bullocks bought Levin sale yards on 27th inst[ant] = branded them + took them up to South Block putting them on Intake p[addock]. Moved the 334 Romney lambs from Intake to Terraces p. - they are doing + look very healthy. At 3.30 the others returned home + I rode up to North Block via Ohau gate, putting 7 more steers on to Mill p., making 22 there. In evening got the 7 rams into yards to doctor feet but found them in good order - the rams themselves in splendid condition. Then I started making a benched track up steep terrace-face overlooking Gladstone Road above the stable. Cleared face of logs, piled into heaps - started benching an easy grade suitable for a horse track.
