Went on culling, drafting + dipping father's ewes -

the "old" ewes are now with the rams = 7 Shropshire. Channing made a new asphalt path round the east side of the house. The Germans have an 18 knot pirate submarine at work in the blockade of England - many of the allies + some neutral vessels have been sunk. Victory of French troops at the fortified village of Vauquois. Great fight + capture of many German trenches at Neuve Chapelle.
