Walked over to 100 ac[re] p[addock], taking coils of plain wire. Put in the two remaining posts. Cut + split + laid out 63 battens from log near the Junction Creek. Split up batens from log on Foxtail Spur + carried them out together with 23 already split there. In evening commenced painting by whare with Venetian Red. Went up to see Read (next door) in evening.
