Maud + I drove to Horton's Nurseries in trap + were shown round by the secretary, Mr. Hamilton. Lovely + interesting trees, shrubs + plants. Took notes of things we liked. There are nearly 60 acres in the nurseries + everything is on a large scale. Took 3 photos (5), (6), (7) in the nurseries + entrance drive. Home

to dinner. In pm Maud + I walked to town - purchased a present each for Clare, Dora + Marjorie at the Indian Art Shop. Visited Mrs Garrett + spent a pleasant hour. Later met Olive + visited the Oriental for sundaes + icecream sodas. A quiet evening at home, playing 500 etc.
