Drove down in car with Father + Clif to catch Napier Mail train en route for Hastings. Mr. Herd got into the train at Hatuma, at which place his most recently purchased farm is situated, area about 250 acres. Maud met us at Hastings rly [railway] station + we all walked down to Grays Road together. It seemed like the old engagement days + the nearly 2 years of married life a dream. Little Nancy quite well

but rather bewildered at seeing me again. Blissful ending to the day with my darling wife.
