Good Friday + a lovely sunny day. About 11 am Mr. + Mrs. Herd, John, Maud + I walked down to the main entrance to the Waiopehu Bush Reserve + picniced on the grass plot on [sic]

of bush + had a very pleasant day chatting, reading + strolling through the bush. Took a 1/4 pl[ate] photo of the party on bank of the Koputaroa Stream. Later John took a 1/2 plate photo of the house with Maud + I on the verandah. "The Dream that came true." This is the first photo since the house was finished.
