Up at 5.30 - cut fern on terrace above Mill Swamp till breakfast. At 9 Maud + I drove down to Cheslyn Rise + on to Levin to shop + attend sale. Big yarding of fine cattle - sold at £14.7.0, £13.8 etc. for old stores + £15.2.6 for fats - good crowd of buyers. Father sold 33 2-3 yr steers at £9. These included some of mine. Maud + I had dinner at the "Taieri" - she spent afternoon visiting. On way back called in at our house

to see progress - floors + lining about complete - changed at Cheslyn Rise + drove back to whare for tea. Cooked joint of meat in camp oven.
