Tues. Jan. 18.
Started cutting scrub on terrace-face above Mill swamp. Triss came along about 8.30 + I went up + helped him sledge + stack his hay till midday. After dinner fired scrub on 100 ac[re] + Top paddocks - East + West Low Hills, Ohau flat + Punga Spur etc. Clif, Viv + Norry Denton came up at 5.30 + had tea with us. Made arrangements with Tress for daily supply of milk + also with one of his little boys to bring it down to our whare.
