Ralph + I biked to station to truck the gig - ordered wedding photos from Wallace Poll. We then drove to Mr. Herd's Pakowhai farm 6 miles away to see his fattening cattle - a lovely

bit of land surrounded by huge poplars - flooded occasionally by Ngaruroro so ploughed into wide ridges + furrows to facilitate draining off of water as flood subsides.
