[page break]
Father's two lots - 42 2 1/2 y[ea]. steers (18 of my first lot) which sold at £8.1.0; + 22 3-4 yr. bullocks, sold at £10.11.0. A very big sale at last + lots of buyers present. My lot sold at £5.15.0. Afternoon tea at the "Taieri" with Mother + Father. Then Mother + I visited Harvey + Co to price the furniture - this was most satisfactory as prices + quality are equal to Wgton [Wellington] firms. Purchased two spring matresses + 1/2doz[en] Ibex dining-chairs as these may be out of stock later - left the main items for the present but got a memo. Purchased a copper tray as a wedding present for Jack Ralph.
