Len + I rode up to North Block to camp. Rode up to hilltop via Trunk Spur, taking a coil of barb each, + went on putting posts in for the east bdy [boundary] fence finishing at a tree exactly opposite top Trunk Spur. Then went on running out barb wires + straining up. I found that some of my cattle had got on to the "burn" + had wandered along past end of

the fence + had gone into bush in several places. After some search found 8 steers on edge bush + drove them down Trunk Spur putting them, with 8 others in Leighton p[addock], on th Mill p. making 19 there. Started making a wheelbarrow in whare in evening.
