Finished laying main branch pipe-drain in Cow p[addock] swamp. Rode down to Levin sale - rather slow sale though good prices for fats. Levin very dismal on acc[ount] of shops all closed. Father got one of his bad attacks late in the evening but recovered + got to sleep at last.
