Had a very miserable cold night in my new bed which is too wide for the blankets. At 8.am rode to top Trunk Spur with grass-seed + resowed part of "2nd burn" south of top of Main Wedge Spur. T he grass is coming up very well. Mapped out a track to be made through "2nd burn", a chain or so from west edge, from Trunk to Main Wedge Spur + from thence to south end of "burn" - this track can be very easily made. Worked at block at south end Ram p[addock] till dinner time + then walked up to unfinished 5 ch[ai]ns of fence on Narby's boundary (at north end "1st burn" - restrained up wires + put on one batten between each pair posts. On return explored through the centre of the future Grange p. to map out improvements required - scrubbing + track-cutting. Home for night. Miss Milsom staying with us.
