Drafted out another 24 of Father's £6.7.6 bullocks, branded them, + after dinner took them up to the South Block. Moved lambs from Intake to Terraces p[addocks]. At 4.30 I crossed over to the North Block + stoked up the burning rata log (standing trees burned down) + got some roaring fires going. In evening rode down to Levin - big crowd inclusing Territorials from the camp on race-course, in town + the place very busy.
