Overview
Sat. Mar. 20.
Up at 6am - branded + earmarked my 18 new steers + put with them the shaggy roan steer of £4.9.0 lot. After breakfast Clifford + I drove them up to North Bl[oc]k. I rode forward to see what a fire was doing + found Tress burning his cut scrub on steep face opp[osite] house. Found 32 steers on Mill p[addock] (10 more had drawn in from off hills) put 22 of best conditioned back on hills + left remainder on Mill p[addock] with the new lot. Saw 62 of my 70 steers. Clif returned home + I rode over to South Block to join Father + Andy who were recutting scrub in South Creek valley. Father decided to burn some + chance the new growth so I had to go back to my whare on N[orth] Bl[oc]k. for kerosene. We got a good burn, stumps as well as the scrub going well on acc[ount] of strong wind. The fires were confined to Razorback, Wedge Spur, Main Spur +
