Father, Andy, Gil + I rode up to North Blk [block] + cut scrub in Mill p[addock] finishing the highest terrace above Gladstone Road north of main Leighton p. gate. In evening rode down

to Lancasters + Maud + I walked into town. She was in a very perverse mood + said "No" to everything I suggested till I nearly had hysterics. Then suddenly she gave in + we went + had tea at the Taieri Tea Rooms. As it was early we had the place to ourselves + so had a good time.
