Andy + I took the 255 lambs to sale before breakfast. They sold as follows: 140 forward rape lambs shorn (blackface) 10/10; 100 wooly [sic] ditto 7/10; 15 shorn lambs 7/8. Tea at midday with Andy. Met Maud + Amy L. in town + took them to afternoon tea - then walked up to "Hillcrest" calling at Dalgety's sale yards en route to see my new cattle. After a little while with Maud in the garden, I drove cattle home + after tea branded them. Also cut a bull + made him bleed badly - he was abnormal + I had some difficulty. Miss Bradford + Mrs Goldsmith to tea.
