Rode to railway station to make sure of trucks for fat sheep and called at Lancasters en route, spending a lovely 1/4 hour with Softie [Maud]. Andy + Gil cut cocksfoot seed in home bush. I stencilled my 8 bales of wool etc. Went round shepherding in afternoon and cut the Californian thistles in Tompsitt's. Cycled down to see Maud in evening + walked into town - visited Public Library, shopped and sat in the gardens for awhile. Mother + Father returned from Wellington.
