Finished scrubbing on Kopje. At 8.am went up hill + cut a more or less horizontal track thro' bracken across the bottoms of three of south branch spurs of Leighton Spur, to tap main wedge spur leading up to 2nd bush contract bet[ween] Leighton + Trunk Spurs. Got on well but at 10 Father, Andy + Gil arrived so I went down to them + we rode up to Ohau Summit + cut out a block of scrub on hilltop to north of same finishing for the day near felled bush.

Very tough matted scrub but should burn well. On way down put 8 steers including the big bullock on Mill p[addock]. Rode to Levin in evening. Andy away for couple of days holiday.
