Showers in night - up at 6.15 - pulled foxgloves on flats at foot Leighton's Spur from 7 till 8 am. + got wet thro'. Cut scrub on Kopje behind whare. At 10 Father, Gil + Andy arrived so we rode up hill + started to cur scrub on ridge near felled bush to north of Ohau Summit. Heavy rain so returned to whare wet thro'. After dinner though interrupted by rain, Father, Andy +I cut scrub on terrace

in Mill p[addock] just north of track to main Leighton p. After others had gone home heavy rain on at 5.15 + lasted all evening.
