Father, Gil, Andy, Erny, Clif + I rode up to South Block + after some trouble mustered the ewes + lambs left on Terraces p[addock] to bring down home. As the old ford by the pipe-bridge has changed we tried a new one nearer the settling tanks

taking a good many ewes + weak lambs over river in the cart. Slow drive home - docked 24 lambs + put the mob in Swamp p. for the night. Received a most delightful loving letter from my dear sweetheart, Maud.
