Lowering, windy day. Father, Gil, Andy, Dick + I rode up to North Block + continued cutting main track along crest of hill on 1st burn on hilltop. Heavy showers in morning. Progressed from "worst mass of birch" on burn to within abut 4 chains of north fence. Took on[e] photo of gang cutting track but weather very unfavourable. No rain on the plain to-day while UR [up river] there was enough to keep the grass growing.
