Finished mowing the apple orchard. In afternoon cycled down to Levin 8th A + P [Agricultural and Pastoral] Show held on the race-course. Blazing hot day - big crowd + the side-shows doing humming trade. Saw a lot of people I knew but felt a bit lost without Maud.
