Got word that the 1000 ft of field drain pipes had arrived from Feiling so Jim + I carted them home from station. Freight of pipes on railway was only 18/8. We got three loads in our dray + two in Willie Stewart’s cart – not a broken pipe. They cost about 1 ½ d. each + measure
