Dull morning – I rode up to North Block + went on with benched track form the “Dirty” Flat to Ohau Summit. Sun came out – very hot – went on benching cleared part of track till lunch time + then continued clearing – reached crest of spurs at junction – beyond this the track follows ridge for some distance – then runs across shallow head of gully to next ridge – then up crest of same – then back over head of gully back to first ridge. Beyond this it follows crest but I did not go further. A hard day’s work + not so interesting as usual. Ralph came up to tea. Afterwards I cycled down to Bulb Show in Century Hall – met Maud + spent evening with her – delightful time, she looked sweet – inspected exhibits + had supper together. Father sold to Levin Meat + Cold Storage Co: – 5 fat bullocks @ £9.0.0 + 2 cows @ £8.10.0 + £6.10.0 respectively.
