After shepherding breeding ewes on home farm Father + I rode up to the South Bock to go through the “UR” lot – the were looking very good + there are about 20 lambs. The cattle appear to be holding their own though feed is very short. We had steel chain with us + measured the east boundary fence as the Borough is to pay half the cost of material + erection – the length of the fence (not horizontal measurement) is 51½ (51.70) [sic] chains. The easterly wind continues.
