Drove to church – Rev. Harris preached. Drove with Mr + Mrs Herd to Bruce Road for dinner. In afternoon Maud, Olive, Will + I walked to Lake Papaitonga to go out in Mr Horobin’s boat – long walk through bush along a picturesque track to the end of spit which encloses the SE side of Pember Bay – then back to boat – could not find oars but paddled out, past big island to end of above-mentioned spit + then back to landing. I took a photo of the boat on the Lake + one of the track through the bush. Back to Bruce Road to tea. Drove to church with Maud + the others. Rousing sermon by Rev. Harris.
