Heavy rain + wind during night. Up at 4.20 am to truck Uncle Bert’s 66 ewes + lambs. Rode over in dark, counted out of his yards + left his farm at 5.20. Rain fell steadily all way to station. On reaching there had to wait nearly two hours while some bulls + other cattle were being trucked. Steady rain all day – Father + I moved several lots of sheep late in afternoon. In evening rode down to 7.45 pm train to meet Maud on her return from Otaki – saw her to her trap which was waiting. Home early.
