Up at 4.40am. Jim + I left at 5.30 for rly [railway] station with the 158 fat lambs to truck them. Job went smoothly + we finished trucking at 7.20, consigning them to the Gear Meat Co. Petone. Jim + I drove 115 breeding ewes (our cull ewes) to sale + got 11/-. Father bought three heifers @ 33/6 for putting to bull in November. Small yarding to day, prices low + business slack. Sent subscription (2/6)
