Jim + I finished crutching the 350 UR ewes – this completed the big sheep this season. Cycled down to the dentist’s – called at Mrs Cork’s to take Miss Gladys + Miss Urquahart skating – found that they were going to meeting of Levin Debating Club so stayed to tea + went with them. The subject for the evening was a “Mock Election” – six candidates made more or less humorous speeches – Mrs Cork topped the poll – a very enjoyable evening.
