Father took a couple of Borough Councillors up Ohau Valley to inspect site of proposed bridge over the Ohau. Jim + I rode up to South Block + went on putting barb wires on east boundary fence – Gil + Anstice putting in posts on same down by Ohau R[iver]. We got our clothes + skins ripped up as is usual with the barbarous job.
