Father, Jim, Anstice + I rode up to North Block + mustered the 202 wethers – they are still in splendid order though short of feed for last 3 weeks. Mr Bartholomew is abandoning our mill lease, dismantling mill + re-erecting on Kay’s near head water-races. Counted 40 of the 89 steers (some have got down river to S[outh] Block). Took the wethers down to south end of South Blk. 38 head of cattle visible on S. Blk. Sheep (hoggarts + 2 tooth ewes) looking well. Very weary in evening.
