Sledged up firewood etc. Drove down to Levin sale - prices of cattle rising very slowly as yeat on acc[ount] of unseasonable weather. Drove over to the Kawiu + with Clif's help took levels for geol[ogical] section along line of Kawiu Road from edge Lake Horowhenua to Oxford St:- Edge lake 36', 3.3pm. Corner of road leading in Kawiu Blcok Anerois 65' corrected (60'), 3.11pm. Tirotiro Rd 90', (78') 3.23. Weraroa Rd 130' (113') 3.32. Top hill at cutting 158', (139') 3.37. OXford St (4ft below road datum = 109') 126', (105')3.40pm.
