Over to Cheslyn Rise - logging up at top of Front Bush, Gravel-pit p[addock]. In pm worked in far 42 improving crossing over swampy stream from Cottle's + sledged up firewood. Recieved from C.A. Cotton acknowledgement of receipt of my paper on "Further Notes on Horo[whenua] Coastal Plain etc" + intimation that it was read at the meeing of the Geol[ogical] Section on 18th inst. Also an invitation from J Allan Thomson to join proposed excursion to Middle Clarence Valley in January next.
