Pouring wet day. Over to Cheslyn rise + drove Father's sheep to sale. These sold at:- 55 2-tooth wethers 26/1; 41 lambs - woolies 9/- + shorn 7/5. 32 fat ewes did not sell. In evening developed most of Wgton [Wellington] photos - final results as follows:- 2 failures, 5 fair only on acc[ount] of dull weather + 50 good = 57 taken. Read "The Cowboy Countess", by CN + AM Williamson - farfetched but entertaining.
