Drove Hugh down to the 8.45am train to Palmerston [North], taking Nancy with me for an outing. Clif + I drove my 390 ewes + 13 rams back to Sonoma + put them on Leighton p[addock]. After lunch at whare, Clif returned home + spent afternoon cutting hinau posts + strainers on terraces above Mill swamp + hauling them over to near Kopje with Silvermane. Found 10 steers had got from Top to Leighton p. + put them into Mill p. Moved the 3 remaining steers in 100 ac[re] p. to Top p.
