Overview
Wed. Nov. 14
While going over to Cheslyn Rise for milk met Godfrey Read driving home his stock from yesterdays [sic] sale + bought 8 steers from him - 6 at £7 + 2 at £6.15. These are 15 months steers + some are very well bred. Put in horse p[addock]. Father saw them later + said I had got a bargain. Rode up to Sonoma + pulled foxgloves (6 h[ou]rs) on Leighton p from Crescent to Trunk Spur except for a small dense patch on terrace at foot of Middle Spur. Grazed the 29 steers on Queen Street for 1 1/2 hrs in evening.
