Rode up to Sonoma took a ½ pl[ate] photo (1) of a fushia [sic] tree in Top p[addock] covered with a very fine mass of Clematis indivisa + (2) a near view of part of a pendant mass of Clematis. Moved 10 of the 30 steers in the

100 ac[re] p. to Top + put 2 poor ones on good feed in Ram p. Mustered remaining ewes + lambs from Leighton p to Mill p. Worked at Leighton-Top p. fence. Slit 20 more battens + stapled these + balance of yesterday s splitting on fence. Repaired a break in the east boundary fence. Found another dead ewe (cast lambing) in Leighton p. + plucked it also one on Ohau summit.
