Overview
Rode up to Sonoma, + went round shepherding - 1 ewe + 6 lambs dead. Saved a ewe in lawyer + helped another lamb. Saw a good number of twins. After dinner worked at Leighton. Top p[addock]. fence - fixed stays, put in last two posts, ran out 3 wires + strained up. Showery afternoon. The 10th Ballot came out today + I found my name had been drawn. Received telegram, paper to give notice of appeal, order to parade for medical examination on Wednesday next, and a free
