Heavy showers during day. Over to Cheslyn Rise. Took hide off the yearling steer which has been wasting. Carted up several loads of firewood from the Terrace + got wet thro’. In pm drove up to Sonoma in Father’s old trap to bring down the weak ewe (+ lamb) but got it walking about, so left in in sheep-y[ar]ds + brought home a load of shrubs instead. Drove down to Levin in evening for shopping + took a “daisy tree” to Hillcrest for Mr Lancaster.
