Father went to W gton [Wellington] to see Mother. George + I hayfed cattle etc. Continued sawing up rata log on Terrace for firewood + rain coming on we got wet through. In afternoon weather cleared so we went on with job. In evening I went to Grand Patriotic concert + send off to men of 32nd Reinforcements two men were present, George and Milnes they received cardigan jackets.
