Drove down to Levin sale. No sale for fat stock presumably on acc[ount] of shipping scare. After sale drove down to bush near Lake Papaitonga to get some shrubs for planting at Woodside - got specimens of kohekohe, titoki, ake-ake, ngaio, kawakawa, etc. Read The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins.
