Drove my 10 new steers over to Cheslyn Rise + Father + George helped my brand them. Drove them up to Sonoma + put on Mill p[addock]. Rode up to hilltop to inspect east b[oun]d[ar]y fence - found 6 trees blown over by gale - two very bad breaks, a huge birch at top of Leighton Spur + a full-sized rimu along towards Ohau Summit. Rode home to dinner - in pm sledged up firewood + a hollow hinau culvert for drain in Hollow Garden.
