Rode up to Sonoma - mustered the 10 rams into yards + doctored feet - decided to keep 9 of these. Fired some cut scrub alongside 100 ac[re] p[addock] north fence + rode up to hilltop with tools to start repairing the burnt east b[oun]d[ary] fence. Cut a rimu log for battens + cleared most of timber of the fence as far as top of Main Wedge Spur working from Ohau Summit. Found ewes + lambs have got round end of fence at top of Main Wedge Spur from Leighton p. to Top p. so I will have to re-muster. Read "The Great Push" by Patrick MacGill.
